A: The actors who play the Camden parents each had supporting roles in a Trek film (The two best Trek films, in my opinion, because they most exemplify the spirit of the original TV series).
Stephen Collins, Heaven's Eric Camden, played Commander Will Decker in Star Trek: The Motion Picture; and Catherine Hicks, who plays Eric's wife Annie, was Dr. Gillian Taylor in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
